Service Description: This data depicts the boundaries for the City of Salinas, Monterey County, California. City boundaries are regulated and generated by the Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO) of Monterey County. The city's Sphere of Influence (SOI) is not included in this dataset but is available from the City of Salinas data portal.
This service was created by the GIS team in 2017. Its primary function is to act as a service for the online web maps that can be found on the Map Gallery within the City of Salinas website.
