Service Description: Parcels within the City of Salinas are managed by the Development Engineering Division of the Public Works Department. Development Engineering staff provide the GIS staff with legal descriptions of new parcels, parcel splits, parcel merges, and lot line adjustments once the appropriate review processes have been completed and submitted to the Monterey County Assessor's Office for review and processing. New features are created in the Parcel Fabric that is maintained by GIS staff with new parcels receiving temporary APNs so that Permitting staff can process needed permits during the County processing process. Once parcels are finalized by the County, and appropriate notifications have been made to City staff, the parcels are updated with final APNs.
